Bacon can cause health issues, but there’s more to it than just a simple statement. To better explain the severity of the situation, 22 scientists from ten different countries met at the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) to evaluate the carcinogenicity and consumption of red meat, and processed meat; which extends the shelf life and change the taste. Which is done by using the following methods: smoking, curing or adding salt or preservatives. For some background information, the IARC is a forming part of the World Health Organization (WHO). WHO and the IARC are government health organizations, just like the CDC, CMS, and FDA. So, when a government agency “officially” recognizes the dangers of tobacco, (or any other harmful substances) it’s usually not a good thing. As a matter of fact, this raises a huge red flag to all of those who include bacon into their daily diet.
